England 2015 Range Rover SVAutobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

Just to add my 2p... The AB Black was spec’d with Borolo Black paint, special wheels, grilles & side vents and badging inside & out...
The two tone leather (not many people know this) is different to any other 322 as the centre colour includes a further panel on either side of the seats. Have a look Thumbs Up
Like was mentioned above, the spec was quite poor on its own and many spec’d them to the nines... So, look carefully at spec’s When decision making...
Thumbs Up

Mine is the Autobiography Black.

As Craig says, Bolaro black paint, with a very subtle red metal flake that only shows in sunlight.

Mine was quite well spec'd from new, including RSE, 4 zone climate, dual view screen, deployable steps etc.

Hi guys thanks for the responses.

Really helpful. It's strange you would think they just has a standard spec for the car and that's it Smile.

How many AB Blacks out of the 100 based in the UK went on to over finch ? Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

I doubt many would have gone on to overfinch.

is there any interest in creating a register of the AB Black cars?
I created one for the B5 RS4 owners many years ago, it's not too onerous to do and for security reasons details such as reg & vin are collected so they can be confirmed when a query is made, but not shared publicly, certainly not as a whole list.

If any of the other owners think it might be worthwhile too, and want to get the ball rolling let me know. We can start a thread specific to it. Too many toys, not enough time

Its unusual to find an Overfinch thats not based on a low spec'd car! Most of the ones they sell to the (daft gullible) footballers are base vogue models sent to Underfinch! Laughing

I was thinking along the same line as Craig.

Why spec a car to a high level, then take it somewhere to be changed? I am sure that in many ways companies like Overfinch would prefer to start with a stripped out shell and then fill it with their vajazzle stuff to the spec of the purchaser.

Hahaha so you guys aren't fans of overfinch then Smile

I was more just curious for the same reason...who would spec a 95k car then change the wheels etc crazy stuff, what was the cost of a conversion back then 15k?

I'm due to pick the car up next week so will post pics. Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

Please do.

I do think that Overfinch do, or at least did, some quite subtle work at one time.

Not so much a fan of some of Overfinch's later works sir... The quality has dramatically fallen since Autobrokers took the reigns...

I was once talking to one of the top brass from Overfinch Farnham and he told me the design budget for the Aero 3 kit (fitted to the 9-12 322's) was £1.4million! That years development to the 09 facelift front bumper by JLR cost £44millions

Thats why the quality of some "Underfinch" products can be lacking... Thumbs Up

That's a sobering thought

What happens to all the replaced parts when these mods get done?

In terms of the AB black in general id be keen to hear how you think the residuals will fair over the next few years...the l322 does seem to have aged with the huge popularity of the l405. Range Rover SC 35th Anniversary 2006

The old (new) parts (bumpers etc) would be sold to someone like me... So, we were facelifting cars to the 09> spec at that time... Makes sense Thumbs Up
