L322 Central Door Locking - the wiring loom?

Hi All,

A Brief History of my door locks:

1. N/S/F door lock became erratic and superlocked itself. Smashed it with a long screwdriver and mallet. The pawl released so I fitted a new lock.
2. N/S/R door lock failed. I fitted a new lock.
3. N/S/F door lock became erratic. When the lock opened, I disconnected the cable.
4. O/S/F (Drivers Door) lock failed this week.
5. O/S/R door works perfectly and always has.

I have replaced the BCU with a known working one (synched the keys of course). The faults are just the same but the rear tailgate now unlocks immediately. It used to take 1.5 to 2 secs to unlatch.

Either I have three locks that have all failed in different ways, fairly close together or I have wiring loom faults. Has anyone else had such problems?

I have exactly the same problems when I use the dashboard button. Does this button activate the four locks directly? I mean, is the BCU and the two front door modules bypassed and 12V applied directly the plug/socket connections on the door lock mechanisms? If so, it will be easy to check power is getting to the lock mechanisms.

Cheers

Gary
