original wheels

hi, i changed the original wheels a couple of years ago, they have been sat in my garage all the time,i'm now thinking of getting the wheels retyred and put back on,they have the original pressure sensors still fitted so my question is will the car pick up the signals again or would i have to take the car back to the dealer for reprogramming?
for the last two years we have been driving with the dreaded orange light on,my car is an 07 tdv8 vogue se
thanks

Had same issue when my TPMS broke.

Not sure if it will need dealer input, but you could buy the tyres and ask the dealer to fit, thereby killing 2 birds with 1 credit card... Discovery 4 HSE

the system should pick the sensors up..its like swapping a front wheel to the back ,the system knows where the sensor is.. ... - .- -.

If I had 10 wheels with sensors (two sets), could I swap them over and not have the light? Or is the car only able to recognise 5 sensors.

the car will pick up any sensor after about 5/8 minutes so you could swap wheels around.. ... - .- -.

If the batteries in the sensors are still good (life expectancy on the car is roughly 7 years) the car should talk and self0programme but it took my car (same as yours) a few trips to do this - there is an article (which I copied on to this forum in the last three months about TPMS) that shows you how to drive the car to get it to self-programme. I did that...and it did not work. Eventually it does though.
