Height calibration using IID tool

Does anyone have the standard settings for the height calibration in the IID tool please?

Thanks Stan

So I just go into “manual calibration” and set the values but it’s not clear whether I should set them from hub to wing or to floor

For calibration with the iiDTool measure from centre of hub to bottom of wing (metal not plastic inner wing)
then
Use the GAP iiDTool calibration calculator
once this is done
you can then set heights for all four corners or front and back

remember that there is a tolerance +/- of @ 10mm when setting a height, so this might mean you can't get it "perfect" .

So in my menu, I go to calibration > manual calibration then change the numbers to whatever the current measurement is, or what’s on your chart above?

I’m having problems with the suspension as the front keeps rising even when the car is off and locked. I have to keep putting it in test mode to keep the height.

if the front rises on its own then dont mess with the height settings..you have a problem that needs sorting..

It’s doing my head in.
If I clear the faults and re-enable EAS I hear the compressor run and the front rises to 575 (R) and 535 (L). If I select access height, it drops to around 485 both sides which is almost standard ride height.

It’s like access height is standard, and standard is off road.

I replaced the r/h sensor and the fault was still there (articulation relay). I went to change the L/H sensor and noticed a break in one of the sensor wires so I soldered/heatshrunk it and the fault cleared but it still raises with no faults.

After clearing faults have any returned (faults) ?

Have you previously "played" with height settings using the iiDTool ? You could always try going back to default (the settings that were in place first time you used iiDTool) .

i changed my tank on the side as it was very rusty and possibly close to perforating as a precaution, and im waiting today for the new compressor to come so i can change it over, took it to tom at marrion4x4 last week and the tank was filling very slowly like in one second two second etc on his auto logic live data reader which he said was not right instead of it flying up to around a pressure of 1400 it was around 700ish and he said comp in the boot so when it comes i'll tell you if it worked as im getting the height issues and lifting slowly and cooled messages etc on the dash _____________________________________________________

Not sure if it is the same for the newer models but on my 2005 model year Td6 when calibrating the heights you have the ability to adjust each corner by a figure of up to 200. This figure is not an actual measurement but purely an adjustment range from whatever the current setting is.

You cannot go over 200 so it will limit that air bag height even if it has lots of potential travel. I had increased the height to the max before realising there was a leak in the old bag and so even with the new bag it would flag up a fault and not inflate properly and show a dash warning. I then realised that the height sensor probably thought it was over its maximum due to the 200 setting.

To solve this I had to reset the calibration figures so the height sensors would know they were in a safe range.

To do this using the IID tool I adjusted all the air bag calibrations to 125 and then deflated the whole system so that all wheels had a reset level.

Then I adjusted the front inflation together up to the correct height as per the table above, and then did the same to the rears (there is a setting to do this in the IID tool menu, I think it is in testing rather than calibration).

Once the heights have been set and measured with a tape measure to be correct then save and exit the IID tool.

If you then check the calibration levels they were still at 125 allowing for any future adjustments for specific wheels if needed.

Hope this helps. Tom

@ kooky_guy

The heights are the same if you have regulation tyres fitted and you measure from the hub centre, 493 front, 483 rear. .
