Oddities and a few questions

While getting used to the upgrade (?!) from a 2006 Vogue to a 2009 Westminster I've noticed a few things which seem to make no sense Smile

Why do I have words instead of icons on the hard keys on the Nav/TV/Radio unit? I also seem to have extra writing on the steering wheel Smile Was there some kick back from customers who didn't understand the pictures?

Heated steering wheel - it seems to take an age to warm up (unlike my previous normal steering wheel) - normal?

It also seems to sit MUCH higher than my Vogue (about 1/2 a wing mirror at least!).

Anyway ... if anyone has any answers .....

Oh and when accelerating from 20-40mph *sometimes* I hear a sort of whoop whoop noise. It has 275/45 tyres fitted, rears are about 1/2 worn Grabber AT, front are new and what I would call a 'no make' (they came with it!). Could this noise be tyre noise or something else? I understand it has a DPF but have never owned a DPF equipped vehicle so not sure if it's a characteristic?

Thanks in advance - it's been a while since I had a new to me RR Smile Land Rover Addict

The L322s went from symbol/icon buttons to text buttons in the middle of the MY2008 production run.

You should feel the heated steering wheel warming up instantaneously. It should be at full temperature within minutes.

As far as the ride height, can it be stuck in the off-road height setting?

I guess the wood just feels colder for a bit longer. It is not in offroad height as that's even higher Smile Handles fine just quite a bit different to its almost identical brother sulking next to it..... Land Rover Addict
