What are these connectors

This is in the spare wheel well anyone tell me what it is?

There are 2 of these, one in each raer wheel arch and they plug into what appears to be a small holder so I assume they are for something I don't have. The 1 in the drivers side wheel arch is behind the plastic liner and not visible until you take the liner out but the one on the passenger side is on the wheel side of the liner so exposed to everything the wheel throws up.
Firstly what are they and secondly should they both be behind the liner if so I will move the passenger one.

Thanks

Keith

I think the first picture of the sensor in the spare wheel well is an accelerometer for the active suspension.

Find beer, open, sit down and have a look at this Shocked

Martin, have no TPMS so presume this is just the wiring ready if it had been specced.

I did not know I had active suspension, when did it become standard on Vogue spec or was it an option that was picked when new. I assume that the accelerometers would only be installed if the active suspension was also fitted and it is not there in the same way as the TPMS wiring.

Can't really answer, but it may be that active or whatever suspension was introduced on the 2011MY.

If you can obtain the build spec for your car it may tell you if the active suspension was fitted when built. Would expect it to be next to impossible to retrofit. Spec may be obtainable via the customer relation thread section by asking the current rep.

Have a search on here and I think that the active bit has wires coming out of the top of the struts, easily seen under the bonnet. The thread I pointed to also has the position of the sensors noted somewhere.

Enjoy your beer Smile Cheers

The accelerometer is for the CVDs which was optional on MY10 and standard on MY11/12.
