Opinions Requires On Strange Fault

Hi,

Went to open my L322 (07MY SC) this morning and the alarm went off and doors would not open, opened with key and alarm still going, after repeated tries to silence the alarm with the key fob it eventually started working after about 30 seconds.

Got in and started fine but noticed CD had changed to radio, all stations lost from memory, trip distance meter reading zero and date /time set to midnight 01/01/2015 - seemingly all settings reset.

Drove fine, restored all settings as I drove but when I removed key from ignition it did it again, this time minus the alarm - no interior lights, unable to lock - after repeated tries for 30 seconds or so it started working again.

Not yet checked with my IID Tool but I suspect my BCM is at fault.

Anyone had similar or input on subject?

Thanks

Battery/alternator check first, check the connections as well.

Then dig deeper. Lots of things like this caused by bad voltage. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Reading it again, first port of call would be to clamp up the battery terminals. Sounds like it’s dropping it’s power supply when off hence the reset.

Try a battery reset and fit everything back on good and secure and it probably won’t happen again.... Whistle There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
