United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Ipanema Sand
Turbos on 3.6 offer.

Quick question, if the egr valves are blanked off and deleated and the turbos gave way and collapsed, would it still wreck the engine ?
Mine is a 2010 vogue.
Many thanks.

Blanking the EGR valves removes one of the things that can cause the turbos to go in the first place, but if they go for another reason (general wear or just bad luck) there's still a chance...

If they fully disintegrate there's a chance that debris from them could get sucked into the engine, but I'd say more of a risk is that the oil seals go, and all of the oil from the sump gets pumped into the exhaust/inlet. If you keep trying to run it after it fails, for more than a couple of minutes it'll have emptied all of the oil and the bottom end of the engine is going to have problems...

There's quite a few people who have had turbo failure on here, but I think most have just changed the turbos, flushed everything out and everything has been OK from then on...
