So, I've been ringing round trying to find a cheap inspection 1 service (blew wad on the car!). Tried a few main dealers who all wanted £470 for the service.

My two local independants are Steve Parker and Landranger. Both wanted £290 for the service which I was about to book....


Stratstone at Bury rang me back to ask how I'd got on booking a service, so I told them I was off to a specialist as the car was 5 years old, and I was less worried about main dealer history. She went away to speak to the service manager and straight off, matched the specialist price. £290 all in sir, no problem! Then, just to seal the deal, threw in two tickets for half day off road experiences!

Well happy. Stratstone are twice the dealer that Guy Salmon EVER were servicing my last one  My Previous RR's!

Having an oil service there next week, maybe I should find someone for them to price match with! They have been good to me in the past e.g when I got a quote for a service (which I think they accidentally mis-quoted to me) and I went in expecting to pay £419 and the bill was £637 (if I remember correctly) , they simply adjusted the bill and knocked off the £218 with no quibble at all. Have used them ever since I got the car and only had 2 minor inconveniences with them, and they have always been very helpful. Would recommend them to anyone. Steve
