I did not know that. Rear Wiper - two speed settings.

At the risk of exposing myself as slightly dense, just this week I found that the rear wiper on my 2007 3.6 has two speed settings.

The switch only has one position. However, by switching the rear wiper on and before it has completed it's first full sweep across the glass switch it off, and then on again it makes my wiper work in continuous mode rather than the intermittent mode.

You may all already know this, but thought i would share it. I found it be accident, but had I RTFM I probably would have read about it. I just dont see myself ever reading about windscreen wiper operation though, i just take it for granted, on, off, wash, wipe, what could I possible need to read about wipers? Ha.

I know, amazing Smile Those chaps at LR do think about "stuff" a lot. I also only noticed the second set of sun visors after 12 months.

Maybe this thread should be a "I did not know that" thread about all the stuff that isn't obvious but is really useful.

I always liked this feature on my L322. I don't believe my L405 has it though - wonder why they dropped it? Perhaps because it was too convoluted for most people to bother with? 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Or maybe it is still a feature, but even more obscurely hidden. It wouldn't surprise me if that was the case.

Second sun visors? Where? How? When? So many questions!

And in the interest of sharing - did you know there's a tiny arrow on the fuel gauge right next to the fuel pump symbol that points to the side of the car where the filler is. Apparently all cars have this. 45 years old, driving since 17 and I only just found this out Rolling with laughter

Great point about the little arrow on the fuel gauge - I also only found this out a year or so ago. For years, I've poked my head out of the window as I go to fill up! No more....! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

LOL. On my car, under the first set of visors, there is a second slightly smaller set, so the side window and the windsheild can both be shaded at the same time.

I had a Hyundai loan car from LR last month. In this car, there are two of the fuel/petrol pump icons that indicate fuel levels/which side to fill up on, one points to the left, and one points to the right. Welcome to the brave new world.

Also first sun visor swings around (aligned with the door) and pulls out to shade sideways sun) .

The arrow on the fuel gauge is probably less than 25 years old. My P38A didnt have it as you can see from this pic of my dash.

On my 2004 MY you can alter the speed of intermittent rear wipe.
Just push and it defaults, if during first pause you push stick again it will set intermittent at that interval Smile

Another weird thing is that you can operate the front screen wash/wipe by either pulling the right-hand stalk back or pressing in the end of the stalk (what a bonus Laughing ) Previous cars:
