Electrical glitches?

Hi chaps advice would be great. On holiday at the moment now in Dorset but yesterday in Cornwall the car would not start. When it did start suspension fault, transmission fault, parking brake fault and although the car was running no revs showing and no power steering. Tried starting this morning and issues back switched car on and off a few times and fine for drive to Dorset now the issues are back! Big Cry Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance Justin

H'mm check your drive belts.

Revs are often driven from the alternator.

Power Steering is also driven from a drive belt, can't think of an electrical reason why it would fail.

Other electrical items do shut down when voltage is low.

Quick update, tried dis-connecting the battery problem is still there but now problem is consistent. First attempt to start and nothing the car is dead will not turn over, second attempt to start and car starts with numerous transmission faults, third time lucky car starts and no problems showing. Now back home luckily car at dealer on Monday, they have very kindly organised a new 4.4tdv8 as a loaner and to try and tempt me Cool

another shot in the dark but im sure ive read it on this forum, that there is an adjuster on the gear leaver and that it dont quite see the RR in park mode to start it? thus adjusting this sorts out the starting issue.
hope it sort of helps

Thank you for all the advice, just picked it up after a week of being without it. It turned out to be a problem with the ignition. It was not always registering that they key was in the right position. Great to have it back Mr. Green
