Changing trim

Hi, All as you can see the trim was looking a bit naff so ordered a new one from Dan Duckworths as you can see not as easy as I first thought getting it off was the easy part but getting the old glue from the car took about 45min, after picking off the heavy stuff I then used acetone ( nail varnish remover ) works great with other silicone products, ,sticking the new one just needed removing the backing tape and sticking it on.

I have the same problem & was thinking carefully of spraying it as there's no damage just discolouration.
Can I ask how much the replacement was? 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

Spray / soak the sticky tape in WD40. Leave it for 20 mins. Spray again. Leave for another 20 mins.
It then comes straight off.
