Heavy steering

Today after few days stopped, I started my td6 and the steering is heavy than the normal. Just like there is no power steering (a bit better).
I look under the hood and seem that all are normal. The belt is ok. I opened the steering fluid reservoir and there is no movement in the oil. What can cause the heavy steering?

BCU (body control unit) is one - situated under the passenger seat (left hand side in a uk car!). Do you have any fault codes?

However ...........

There are a number of causes tho and several are dealt with on this forum. Put “heavy steering” into search. Thumbs Up

Heavy steering

Hi Dolphinboy
Thank you for your answer. After a few hours when I start the engine to return home, the steering was normal. Can this be due by the fact that the engine where stopped for about five days?
On the disco 3 of my son happened the same. The car where stopped here for more than a month waiting to go to the mechanic and yesterday when he drive to the shop he feels the same.
Can for any reason the oil get coarse or something else due to the long period stopped?
Cheers
