ahh, well erm, no.

tbh , it was the first time i tried the aircon since getting the range in august last year so when we closed the windows and no cold air came out the vents, the windows came down again..there was a fair bit of dust on the dash etc but it seems to have cleaned up ok...

edit..justin and dom had their windows up most of the time , i bet their interiors are spotless.. ..............................

Indeed my interior is spotless, the only cleaning required after the trip was to brush off both front floor mats.

Regarding Steam cleaning, do you think the steam cleaners that you can buy in Argos will be suitable, or I do I need to take it to a garage and pay to have it done? 

i think it'll need to be a good one from argos to match the power etc from a garage one.. ..............................

As my car was in the dealers for an airbag issue, I asked them to give my engine a steam clean.

Picked up the car this evening and I'm very pleased with the results



Sadly I didn't take a photo before it was cleaned, but it looked as bad as the outside did.

 

Justin, I steamed cleaned my own using one of these.

It has a variable pressure so turning it down means the output is either hot water or steam. Good for delicate stuff.
