Lumpy idle and no throttle response

When I started my 2007 3.6 TDV8 earlier it sounded terrible was ‘lumpy’ with no throttle response, the battery light was also flashing after a bit of starting and stopping pulling plugs on MAF and MAP sensors it cleared itself and now appears fine......
I’ve had a search and the only thing I could find was egr valve ‘spindles’ coming loose, I’ve had mine mapped out so guess it can’t be them, any ideas? is something on its way out??

Confused.....so the egrs are mapped out and not working but could still be causing the issue?
Would the iidbt show this? Or if it’s MAP/MAF sensors? I’m thinking of investing

Update- I replaced both MAP and MAF sensors and all was well......then today I started it when it was warm and the revs sat at about 500 then after 30 secs or so returned to normal....it was no where near as bad as the first time. I’ve borrowed a very basic code reader and there’s nothing registered.... I’ve read on another thread that it could be related to the battery I’ll get that checked next!!

Could also be the throttle body itself. Certainly on the Td4 freelander engines, the toothed gearing and sensors within it could wear out causing issues with starting and throttle response. Also, cause of the nature of the diesel, oils and gunk can build up around the butterfly causing it to stick.

No reason why a similar thing couldn't happen with the 3.6 i guess. A first port of call my be to take off the pipe running to the throttle body and see if its dirty and give it a clean. V8 or else ...

Thanks for all the infos and advice!
Its been for a diagnostic check today and looks like the egrs are still mechanically working even tho they’ve been mapped out as they are giving fluctuating readings🤔
Also have some voltage below threashold readings and injector differences
I’ve agreed to give some time and see if it faults again and go from there, tempted to have a look at the egrs to see if I can spot anything!
Also looks like I wasted money on the maps/maf sensor as there weren’t any codes stored for them!! At least I have good spares I guess Embarassed

Apologies highgun not been on for a while, I ended up parting company with mine, was advised the torque converter was at fault after the Rev problem got worse and I was getting vibrations under acceleration, moved on to a D4 but still miss it
