Just remember once you have replaced all those airbag badges with Lond Rover ovals that they are there for Fire and Rescue crews to tell the not to cut there in the event of an extraction thus avoiding death or injury to you your loved ones or the rescue worker. Rolling Eyes

The actual gas canister that fires to fill the airbag that is behind that panel is not actually situated behind the panel, it's situated behind the silver air vent next to the wing mirror, so fire crews could cut the pillar/airbag without any problems because they are only cutting the bag and not touching the firing components

Matt

That I'm afraid is not the point they are there to tell people where the air bag will deploy from and trust me you don't want to be in he way and this does happen up to 20 minutes after the initional impact, most Fire crews really got to work on cars with so many airbag so don't assume they will now you have changed it, not the worst thing mind cut through the floor of some crappy Hybrid and you get more than just a really big bang, it's why that all have the same "Hybrid" badges on the flanks and back. 2008 MY Supercharged

Yes but all that is behind that cover is the physical bag so if they did cut and remove the pillar and chopped though the bag and the canister did eventually fire all that would happen is the nitrogen that the gas canister generates would just vent into the atmosphere, it would more than likely be loud but would not hurt anyone.

Axle: Maximum respect for what you do! I'm part of our fire team in work and after composting my industrial fire course have to take my hat off to full time firemen/women for what you guys do. 1 weeks course was hard enough.
