dont really know mate, its just a resin with a little tool to inject it into the chip.

Thought for a tenner ill give it go and was pleasantly surprised when it worked. 2004 black Vogue TD6

i had my mondeo windscreen done and seemed to put resin into the crack and used some sort of suction/pressure type apparatus to make sure the resin was pushed into the crack, this was done free under my insurance.. but for a tenner and the convenience of doing when you want , thats not to bad.. ... - .- -.

Just had the windscreen replaced on my wife's car as there was so many repairs it looked bad and we are selling it. I've always had my apprehensions about the replacement of a screen, that it's never right afterwards but the fitter was brilliant, he knew his stuff and took his time and did a great job. Only cost £60 excess too. Discovery 4 HSE

Alas a replacement screen is only as good as the fitter putting it in. I had one replaced on my new Shogun and from then on was plagued by wind noise. I had it taken out three times and refitted but was never the same. Last year had a screen fitted to my Mondeo ST and it was excellant, the fitter really new his onions. Thumbs Up

Think I might give this a go, as I called Autoglass yesterday and was told they don't work with my insurer so they advised me to phone them. I call my insurer, she says I will get one of our local approved repairers to call you then 10 mins later the same guy from Autoglass rings back wanting to book it in!

I know its me being silly now but I said to the guy you can't make your mind up as to to if you will or won't work with my insurer so how can a trust the quality of your work. Reformed

its probably only red tape in the sense that autoglass need authorisation from your insurer before they say yes..

the cheap ebay kit worked for me, although still the very slightest mark left.

i might of got lucky though so if your insurance is sending a pro at no cost to you then i would go for that. 2004 black Vogue TD6
