Service Details

Hi all,

I'm a bit confused over the service scheduled on my 2006 4.2, its now due, 12 months ago it had an Inspection 2, i assume now that its an Inspection 1 as they seem to alternate, mileage is just over 25k

Is this right?

If so, can anyone point me to where i can see whats done under the Inspection service 1 v 2, also what am i likely to have to pay at main dealer for this.

Big Cry It also needs its MOT but I have a non working rear washer so i may or may not mention this to them, assuming it must be the non-return valve although i don't think there's any pump noise when activated so could be something else!!!!

Thanks If its not broke now it soon will !!!

No, it will now only need an oil service. This is good news as its cheaper.

The intervals go:

Oil service
Insp1
Oil Service Insp2...generally anyway.

When you turn the ignition on and the service indicator tells you it needs a service, it will then say Inspection if one is required. Discovery 4 HSE

Worst case scenario with the rear washer pump and motor is it needs replacement.

I had to do this once, here's a write up, you can do it yourself easily (i'm not a mechanic)

Mostly they just do a lot of "Inspecting" and charge you for it Neutral

Thanks for the info, dash just says Inspection 5/11 so i take it that as the last one was an oil service inspection 2 this will be a cheaper oil service inspection 1.

I checked the washer and the pumps is working but no water out of the back or leaks appearing on the ground; its got an MOT tomorrow so I'll just keeo my head low and hope they let it go.

Cheers If its not broke now it soon will !!!
