I was warned off repairing deep scratches on glass due to it weakening the glass. Apparently the glass counts for quite a big chunk of the structural integrity in the event of a crash.

Don't let it get to you (easy for me to say). They've won twice if you do that. Whilst THEY damaged a £75000 car, that car is owned by you, and YOU won't be the one going to sleep tonight after eating rats in your shi*hole house!  My Previous RR's!
