Yep, that's what I was quoted to have outside & inside done. Apparantly though when you come to trade your car in (I presume only if through a main dealer who uses the scheme) you get £200 back.
I also presume that's if you don't claim against it not working - i.e some bird Censored or tree sap breaks the barrier and leaves a burn on the paintwork or if you drop an ice cream and it ruins your leather Crying or Very sad

I was surprised that LR don't guarantee against paint blemish anyway......unless I've not been told right.

If I buy a new car, I would have expected the paintwork to also be under 3 year guarantee regarldess if a bird Censored's on it or not !

No, the waterbased paint used now is a lot softer than the old ones with all the nasty chemicals in.
If a bird poops on your car and you leave it for a while you can get paint damage quite quickly these days.
BMW has had a lot of reported incidents as their paint is parcicularly soft.
They are down to the owner.

For what it's worth on a Defender I bought in 2007 I was offered the Superguard and GAP for £250 each.
After a brief negotiation the total cost was reduced from £500 to £200 for both. I did go for it, just because it was the first new car I'd bought and I wanted the GAP cover.

Waste of money IMO

Use a good quality wax and after every wash apply a good sealant such as zaino z8 ( which takes 5 minutes) and bird mess etc will adhere to the sealant as opposed to your clear coat. I always keep a bottle of z6 and a micro fibre cloth in the car in case of flying assassins. 06 4.2 SC Bonatti Grey/ Ivory
