Drove from mid France home in comfort at the legal limit, 650 miles in 12 hours more or less.
Nothing fell off or broke (air suspension failure warning on most of the way as usual).
Car fell silent when we past place gearbox let go last summer Sad Mine was a blue one! Smile

I just noticed your signature "Le Dorat". I have a place in the next village along, Droux. It's the old station masters cottage just off the main road that takes you to Bellac Thumbs Up

To keep on topic - today I have been prepping parts for my 2010 facelift ! Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

I'll be accused of being "picky" but it's Le Dorat. Very Happy

To keep on topic also, SWMBO drove the FF for the first time today. She is a very good driver but lacks confidence so has kept putting it off.. She didn't learn to drive until her forties which may account for it. John

Picked up mine today and took the grandkids for a test drive around Rivington Pike. The nice man in the garage I got it from introduced me to the other nice man who installed the LPG and they filled it up for me for free ! ( He charges 53p/l ) Not sure how many miles i did but i did most of them quickly ! I was surprised to see only 1/2 a tank of gas left when we returned, but what a fabulous afternoon learning what all the dials buttons and switches did. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Changed battery. Varta 020 Silver. Slipped into place easily. Followed the wiki. Top tip though is to place heavy cloths (I used old curtains) in strategic positions to rest battery on as you position yourself ready for the final drop into the"hole". Battery is heavy but liftable, even for a weakling like me! Very Happy Previous cars:

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

gearstick was feeling a little stiff so I lubed it up.......

I'm sure there is a euphemism in there somewhere Whistle but seriously the gear lever was feeling less than smooth shifting between park and reverse, so i applied liberal amounts of WD40 and a squirt of spray grease, and then popped the gaiter off and put some on the other end too and some of the moving bits.

All nice and silky again! Thumbs Up

And then washed it, chamois leathered it, cleaned all the crisps and hoovered the carpets tidied the boot, and cleaned all the interior Very Happy Very Happy nice place to be again. not a bin. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
