Done my second rear wiper leak of the week. This time on my current car. Really is an easy job and worth a go before yoy shell out £150 on a new rear wiper/ washer.

Just dropped it off at an Indie Land Rover repair place. Was on route to Nottingham last night for work and the Low Coolant warning came on. Temp gauge was fine and I knew I'd put a small amount in to make it the correct level just 3 weeks ago. On arrival I checked level to find it was pretty low. Being hot, I left it to see what it returned to when cool. ..VERY LOW !!
So I returned to my place of work , the away dressing room at Notts Forest FC , to seek some bottles of water from the Mighty Whites ( Preston North End for you non footballing types ) !. Topped up and started a long careful journey back. Kept the heaters on full and the windows open to make sure I got rid of as much heat as possible .

This morning it was well down again and the underneath was awash with coolant drips. Simply dont have the time to take it my mates and strip it down plus he's up to his neck in vehicles so its off to a specialist. I now await the verdict.

Spent the day fitting new cable for drivers door handle and then getting all the windows and central locking to work 2010 Overfinch 3.6 V8 FFRR gone yee haa

Just got back from KMotors, Leyland, an independent land rover repair place near Preston. Dropped it off yesterday and they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to get me my vehicle back for a trip down to Bristol on Sat.
The coolant loss was down to a hole in the rad which would appear to have been caused by a stone or such like striking it and putting a hole in it.

However, whilst it was there I asked about the possibility of replacing both EGR's as one was proving to be sticking. Seemed like a good idea considering how much was being stripped down to do the rad. Job done, even though it meant their lad working well in to the evening. Customer service like this is virtually unheard of these days.

Cant complain about the bill either. I really do reccomend these guys.

Collected kids from school and as.petite 15 year got.in passenger side rear the side steps snapped and a lump of.rust fell off. Bent it back into shape but will get them.removed during gearbox oil / dilter change on Monday. Onto eBay and new side steps ordered, luckily not expensive 2015 4.4 AB

Yearly service (168K) done and dusted. Next year we'll look at all the other big ticket lube items...
