Same as me on the same day.

Congratulations Smile

Then the online tax, then the first refuel, then the first purchase of little parts to tidy up, then the book in to get the brake hose warranty recall done.

Chuffed to bits though... love it. Current cars:

They look like the 19mm truck doors, they're mega strong as well. But for super tough, you can't beat a bit of Phenolic floor board Thumbs Up

Said farewell as the new owner drove it off into the distance... Big Cry

Whilst I only had it for a few months, it was a lovely car but with no driveway space following the arrival of a company car the decision was made...

No doubt i'll be back in something LR at some point.

I picked up my latest (and probably last) L322 today and got rid of the D4 that had been thrust on me for the last 2 years (when the wife decided my my08 L322 was going). I think I was grinning all the way back from Portsmouth.

Took a couple of pics. Now need to figure out a place for the AR as the panel to the left in the boot looks chocka already.

Thanks.

Ian.

England 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black

Today I discovered my gearbox is dead, last week we had a screech and loss of drive so decided to drop the oil and change the filter (thanks to the brilliant 'How To' on here) and that's when the fun began.

Once the car was up in the air I found five of the sump bolts had been rounded out so that slowed the removal of sump considerably. When I eventually got the sump off all four of the magnets had the very finest metal fillings and sludge on them, I was concerned but remained hopeful. However my hope was beginning to fade when I removed the filter and saw the shimmer of metal in the oil. Big Cry

At this point the car was right in the middle of my drive and I had no real choice but to finish the service and fit the new filter and refill with oil to at least see if it made any difference. The service went well but on the test drive things were no different, I was still getting a screech and very little forward movement, reverse was absolutely fine. I'm now seeing fault code 'Wrong Gear Ratio'

I've spoken to Birch 4x4 of Liverpool (after reading some recommendations on here) and I've my chosen them to replace my gearbox, the trouble is I'm in Truro in Cornwall so now have the fun of trying to get it 334 miles for them to rebuild it.

I did toy with selling it but have decided to keep it, I don't no why I keep coming back to Range Rover my last one was a pain and I vowed never again, yet here we are again lol.

Post it on Shiply for a quote on getting it to Liverpool, sometimes you get a real deal. I had a kawasaki mule brought up from Cornwall to Midlands for under £200 if I remember correctly (wasn't expensive either way).
You need to post what it is, where from and where to, give dimensions if you can as it opens the job up to carriers who aren't sure if they can get it on.

The fact it still drives makes it easier for a tow and so maybe cheaper. ______________________________

Personalised mine after buying it last Wednesday. Now it's home to my dashcam, spare fuses and bulbs, torch and other bits and pieces that I always have in the car. Feels like mine now!
