Like a fool I shampooed my mats because all the snow last few weeks left them in a state. I completely forgot the snow's back. Was very satisfying to empty the waste tank of my shampooed, water was black as a black pack Range Rover.

Shampoo then vac-suck then distilled water and another vac-suck using this mini shampooer we bought. Then a light brush to get the fibres running in the same direction. BTW little Bissell Spotclean is really great to have around for car and home.
. Cheers, Greg

Took advantage of a break in the weather to get the salt and grit off the car. First up on ramps to scrub the underside

back down for a good rinse, snow foam, 2 bucket wash and quick polish

All ready again now for the rain!! Rolling Eyes

In a flurry of activity today I've replaced both rear light assemblies, like-for-like from Powerful UK and fitted clear lenses to the side repeaters. Also took the rear wiper arm apart to try to find out why I only get a trickle of water - eventually! - out of the rear washer. I was expecting to see some sort of sealing O-ring between the supply pipe stub and the cap with the jets in but nothing - more work required on that front. Mind you, the arm itself has seen better days so perhaps a new one is on the cards. I've finally exhausted all options in trying to locate a replacement rear wiper cover trim panel so it looks like I'll be getting in touch with Dan again; it was u/s when I got the car, a hole the side of a tennis ball in the middle and two lines of Araldite where a previous owner has done a bodge job! Oh, and I've also ordered a pair of upgrade headlamp bulbs from Amazon, they should arrive tomorrow. Nearest crocodile to the canoe after that is the aircon condenser; new one is sitting in the shed - and if tomorrow is decent weather-wise, it'll be fitted then.
Reckon I've done enough to earn myself a drop of the cratur tonight . . . . L322 TDV8 4.4 - current

Inspired by the pictures of professional detailed cars, I got the bucket and sponge out.
2 hours this morning and B.B. looks good enough to get the polish out tomorrow, if it is not raining. Big Cry Big Cry

Changed the transmission fluid , filter and mechatronic sleeve .. then ran and dropped the fluid again another couple of times
Old fluid was minging , and it looked like the sump had been replaced at sometime in its life.
Was very straightforward, no issues with seized or rounded sump bolts ..
the only issue was waiting for a temp reading within parameters for checking the level on the IID tool. Seems the trans temp is taken at the oil cooler so needed to wait for fatty to cool after a run. Not an issue if just changing the fluid once, but extends the service time somewhat when doing multiple fluid changes 4.4 AdBlu Tractor
