United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Baltic Blue

I have just spent the morning giving B B a good wash and polish before the hosepipe ban starts.

Came in for lunch and guess what, the ban has been cancelled 🤔🤔

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Started off washing and drying my fatty ,then clay barred the bottom halves of the doors, then used the maguires 1.2.3 .polishing system.. 1 bottle paint cleaner, 1 bottle polish, 1 bottle carnuaba wax. Took me all day, never again it was like polishing 3 fullfats. Next time I'll just go for autoglym polish.
It does look better though. Very Happy 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

Went to see my brother

His 405 in front of my 322. Same colours but like the cars, my brother is much younger than me!

I set out with the intention of changing the front pads, but was surprised by how much life their was left in them, so finished up just tapping out all the pins and centre bolt so that I could clean them up .
I smeared a bit of copper grease on them, worked them in and out a couple of times then wiped all the excess off.
They should come out easier next time. Thumbs Up .

Just got back yesterday after a 3-1/2 week holiday in the Alba, Piedmont region of Italy, towing the tin tent.
A mixture of towing and traveling around clocking up 3,800 miles.
Range Rover ran like a dream.

I was driving back from work, through Dudley, when a lorry started flashing and waving at me...

I don't usually pull over in bus stops to chat to lorry drivers, but I did, in case something was wrong.

He asked me to sell him my FF!

Said it was exactly the model and colour he wanted and what did I want for it. As I've only had it a week, I decided not to sell. Let's hope I don't regret that decision!

England

I drove mine back from the local indy with a rather large headlamp shaped hole in my bank account.

It failed the MOT on headlamp alignment (as I thought it might) and it turned out the previous owner had employed bits of metal bolted through the plastic to hold it in place following some sort of impact.

Given that the rest of the front end and wing was as it left the factory, we can only surmise that something (a pheasant maybe) had hit the light with enough force to break the brackets and the internal assembly but not the glass. I was relived to hear that it hadn't been in anything more damaging.

How it passed last years MOT is beyond me, not that I was the owner at the time, but perhaps the repair held long enough to get through the test.....
