L322 Td6 2004

Hello all

I am seeking advice on a topic that has been covered on this site (and others no doubt) over a number of years, but not reached a final outcome as far as I can see.

My iid tool is showing this fault 0xBD EBV fault received from ABS ECU

Hence the Brake System and the ABS warning lights are glowing amber. Now reading back through various threads on here, it is apparantly an ambiguity left over from a previous BMW incarnation, and can be ignored?

However I have an MOT due in a couple of months and am just imagining the smile on the examiners face with this one, not! A previous owner had taken the rather drastic step of siliconing (I am not making this up) the led warning lights, I have removed said silicone and am seeking a proper solution.

I should add that the car drives and brakes perfectly normally (which is actually fantastically with such grace and poise).

Hope that some enlightened RR enthusiast can help.
