Broken NSR lamp - wife in tears!

Just had wife come back in tears as she has broken the n/s/r lamp - it's only the perspex cover but I am fairly sure that means replacing the entire unit.

So does anyone have a original 2014 lamp lying around in good condition for sensible money?

Or I could buy a pair of 2018 rear lights and conversion leads from powerful but I note their comment on DAB interference. Can anyone expand on it?

Interested to hear any other solutions before I go spending money to calm the Mrs down!

Thanks in advance all

thanks Stan - I was actually thinking of a complete replacement unless we have someone in our midst who can say they have done the replacement successfully because I can see me ending up being unhappy with the solution if and when I try to repair.

Has anyone used the lights which apparently disrupt the DAB signal because my DAB in this area is fairly poor anyway.

I'd probably go with a pair of new style (2018) rear lights if I were making a change unless I was told not to

Of course if anyone has a n/s/r early lamp sitting around I could buy that instead of a replacement from powerful. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ

i should imagine doing a lens swap could be messy..

get genuine lights and you'll have no problem with DAB interference..

..and i recommend the newer 2018 lights, they are brighter and better looking.. ... - .- -.

I’ve recently fitted facelift rear lights and went for genuine. I think they can be had on EBay for around £600 then you need the plug and play wiring loom which is another £30 if I recall correctly.

I’d use it as an excuse to upgrade the lights to be honest!

I agree I thought about the later lights but from powerful they are £1100 for genuine, and I can find supposedly genuine lights for £635 inc postage but not the looms on ebay (maybe I am searching for the wrong thing) but that gives me a £700 wish bill or I can buy just one near side light for £250 delivered (genuine) - so I will probably stick with standard.

If I could understand the DAB issue with the Powerful UK rear lights I would probably fit those but genuine is always best in the end - so its probably going to be OEM 2014 style sadly 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ

I was trying to lead you towards getting facelift ones 😂

I have a pair of 2014 takeoffs from my car if you’re interested in just the near side one. If you send me a PM, we can discuss price/ postage. They’re at my parents house and I won’t be there until next week.

Very kind of you to be leading me to the dark side 🤣🤣🤣

I have sourced a used one now for £250 delivered by Friday (Craig at Cam Tech) so thank you for the offer but as I actually need it fairly quickly I will go that way for a 2014 one or I can buy 2018 genuine lamps with conversion leads for £580 which obviously makes a lot of sense 🤣🤣🤣 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ

I have recently fitted the non genuine SVO lights from powerful, whilst reading this post I realised that since fitting them I also now have a problem with the DAB radio continually cutting out

I have messaged powerful if they know of a fix
does anyone know if this can be fixed or is the only answer to fit genuine ones? various other LR's this one is still the best

I don’t think there is a fix as I sometimes see used ones on EBay being sold by Powerful stating that they got returned due to DAB issues.

My genuine 2021 SVO NAS lights work a treat and absolutely no issues with DAB Thumbs Up
