United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

I have no idea why there would be 2 black sockets. If you open the flaps & look at the pins inside - are the centre pins the same ?

Usually you should have a 12N & a 12S - 12N is the normal trailer connections & 12S is the supplementary caravan connections. AFAIK they are identical except for the centre pin - one has male, the other female.

There's loads of sites with the pin descriptions - example here and if you look at the pictures of a 12N & 12S plug you should see the difference in the centre pin.

Thanks Alistair - after checking the pins, I have the 12N and 12S plugs so have ordered the socket adapter for charging. Fingers crossed that works as looks a nice simple way to charge.

Will work fine mate. That’s what I use.

Means you can lock the car etc when charging without having to keep bonnet open etc.

Just need to remember to unplug it before you drive off 🤣

Been there, done that - saw a long blue extension lead in my rear view mirror once when I had a RRC with a block heater in Canada... Whistle

My fix is to leave something on the driver's seat to remind you that the car is plugged in - the box / bag for the charger works well. Thumbs Up Bish.

I put a little steel bin so it blocks the drivers door, as I go in my garage with the front of the car facing me…..
