Fault Code from Diagnostics - 'Engine Stability Control'??

Hi Guys,

My FFRR (53 plate TD6) has developed a shudder as it passes through the revs. it's particulaly noticable when cruising at about 55mph and you ease on the throttle to spped up (not as noticable if you bury the pedal into tthe carpet)

My local Indie has had a look and hooked it up to the diagnostics & it showed an 'Engine Stability Control' fault.

this is a new one on me and the garage - anyone got any info on this that could help.

cheers,

Alex.

Interesting, I have noticed this on my 4.4 petrol over the last few days, I also have a check engine light (possibly lpg related)

Mine's only under light acceleration and seems to be coming from the back? Sounds exactly like a small cattle grid and is apparent from 35/40-55mph FFRR 4.4 V8 Vogue LPG MY03 Black/Sand

Yes - I suppose that it coulsd be described like that and it is under light acceleration.

Well no but as I read it the TD6 has one active engine mount . If this wold fail would that not be the diagnostic message ?
as for jominns I don't think your engine has an active mount so you won't get the same message. 2008 MY Supercharged

"Engine stability control" usually caused by faulty fuel injector you need to get it rigged up to a decent machine that will give you injector flow rates
