I shall try to contact him again. Never got a reply.

No disrespect in this thread that I can see. Those are the same queries that I’d like to ask before I went forward. Just for my own understanding.

Maybe the machine can warm the new oil up so the stat doesn’t close and you get a full change….?

Lots of people now offer 8 speed Megaflush around the country including Ian Bodsworth and are very reputable and respected experts who know their stuff.
They have a special set of pipework that works with the inline thermostatic valve between the cooler and gearbox. 99% of fluid is changed. Seen it myself in action.
Whoever is saying the 8 speed cannot be Megaflushed is taking through their Censored to be frank and are to be avoided imho Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Thanks for the contact info, have just emailed him…

You’re better off texting him as well. He’s an extremely busy chap. Why? Because he’s bloody good at his job Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Ian has got back to me and he will be doing a megaflush, diffs and transfer case oil change,
Just sorting out a date for when I get back to the uk.

There is nothing wrong with my gearbox at the mo The car goes like a stabbed rat (its been chipped ) but at 130k a bit of preventative maintenance is due. I think….

Had my Westie done at 80k. Fluid connections direct to cooler/thermostat and with engine lightly loaded, 9+ litres were exchanged iirc.
Lots of discoloured but not 'dirty' fluid in the extracted tank afterwards. Forty years of progress. 1972-2012

Totally the best decision. I had mine done by Ian as part of a preventative maintenance program. Some folks think a Megaflush can fix an already knackered box. Bloody idiots Rolling with laughter
