Hi,

I have recently replaced the pulley tensioner and idlers and whilst it was apart thought I’d do the oil cooler gasket and o-rings. Since then whenever I take the car for a run and go to accelerate hard, as the second turbo would kick in the car goes into limp mode. I replaced all the boost hoses as thought this may be the issue but it is still present. The csov can be moved by hand so I assume it is working. However after clearing all codes and then driving, the car goes into restricted performance and the codes p004b and p004c are present. If I drive carefully to avoid higher revs the issue won’t occur. I am now at a loss to what could be causing this.

It was a different fault code but referred to as boost air control solenoid.

Just to the left of the CSOV, the plug was hanging out on mine and all cleared when I managed to push it home.

I got to it from the top by removing the throttle body hose and forcing my arm down the gap behind the radiator.

I did check that the wire was connected earlier by removing the throttle body hose as though/hoped it may of been something as simple as that but unfortunately not.

Maybe it is an issue with the sensor. Is there any way to diagnose this?

The Workshop Manual in the Wiki has a section on Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
