how to use clay bar?

hi all

i want to clay bar my range rover but not used any clay before, could someone explain how to use the clay bar and what i need to use it? Also does it scratch the paint?

Shouldn't scratch if you keep kneading the clay to get a fresh peice. Some say you should use a clay lub. But you can just use water with a bit of car shampoo. The clay will remove all dirt stuck to the paint along with all wax and polish on the car.
