My car has a mind of its own

So I lock the car walk away from it and its all ok. Nothing for ages the when sometimes i unlock the car it has a melt down the central locking starts to chirps and it unlock two or three times and the windows come down sunroof opens so far it hasnt rained but the car has been done this over night which is worrying. has it happened to anyone else Thumbs Up

If you keep the unlock button pressed down, it will open the sunroof and open all the windows, so it could be the fob continuing to send the unlock signal when you are not holding the button.

It’s called global opening. Does it in reverse too…. Keep the lock button pressed and it will shut everything.

Not sure how to disable that feature, which would eliminate the fob if it still did the same afterwards….

Have you another fob you can use for a while to test the theory?

Yes i have tried repressing the remote when i catch it doing it, I've also changed the batteries I do have two remotes and I've also tried that method but still the same Censored

Have you tried using the spare key for a while to see if it does the same? That way you can rule out if it's the car or the key causing the issue.

On the face of it, sounds like it would be worth taking the key apart and checking for button wear, and dirt or water ingress signs. I'd also change the remote battery. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
