Is this a good spec vogue help for newbie

Hi guys. I'm looking to buy a 4.4v8 diesel Vogue 2016-2017.
Now I've never owned a FFRR before and only driven one once. I've seen a local Vogue, non se or autobiography model with some nice extras. I don't know if maybe some of these are standard vogue spec.
I'd appreciate your advice if there is anything missing which is a must have from the vogue to se/autobiography

Front and rear winged headrests
4 zone climate
Rear Tv headrests
Dual view front screen
Surround camera
Adaptive headlights
Front fogs
Privacy glass
Park assist
Contrast roof
Ebony premium headlining

Would bring it up to around SE spec ?

Many thanks

Hi Jecks111, welcome to FFRR forum.

That sounds a very good spec for a Vogue, some nice extras there, the only other things I’d look at are the wheel size and deployable side steps really.

Don’t get too concerned about “badge engineering” if a vehicle has the colour and trim you want, with the options you want, go for it, all FFRR’s are nice, you may as well have what you find desirable.

Good luck in getting what you want Thumbs Up “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” -where’s the fun in that?

Things you get as standard on an SE over the Vogue are:

- Premium semi-aniline leather with contrast stitching
- LED ambient lighting
- Cooled seats
- Adaptive cruise control with queue assist
- Soft close doors
- Noble plated upper and lower plates of the door handles
- Lower bumper grille mesh in Atlas silver

Caveat - there are some variations by model year.

So to directly answer your question, no, the options you quoted do not bring it up to a standard SE spec. Many of the options you quote though, are not standard on an SE spec and are options on the SE.

When I was looking to purchase my L405 a few years back, the things that came as standard on an SE spec were important to me.

List the options you want and look for a vehicle with those options. Don't get hung up about the badge on the back. Kev

Thanks for the welcome and reply's.
It doesn't have the side steps unfortunately and the wheels are the 'standard I take it' 20" ones.
Does have a full size spare which makes a change from recent cars I've had. I'd change the wheels to the turbine ones I've seen on a few vogues online anyway.

Il have to check if there is anything else I missed but I think that's all the extra spec
I have cooled seats on my current car for 2 years and used them once as a novelty so it wouldn't be a deal breaker, along with the other SE Spec listed above if that's all that's extra.

Autobiography I'm sure is a step up again but I guess in price aswell.

Side steps were mandatory for me as I'm a short arse. The electrically deployable ones which I have on mine are great and are a real help with getting in/out. They also help to keep the bolsters on the seats in good order as people tend to lift themselves over as opposed to slipping out. You can always retrofit these so it's not the end of the world if you find a spec you like without the steps.

Alternatively, you can fit the fixed ones but personally I think they really spoil the lines on the L405. Kev

If you are in the UK, get one regsitered after 31 March 2017 to get road tax at £165 rather than £395.

Hopefully going to get a drive and look around it properly on Tuesday. I know it will need a black pack and possibly a different set of wheels to lift it a little. Il see how it goes

Buy which ever one that floats yer boat sir... Were all individual and all have different wants & needs... My car for example is the range topper and although I don't need the electric tables on a daily basis... It's nice to know they are there.....
My wife has an AB car and to be fair, the extended leather and stitching really does make the car imho...

Oh and welcome to the asylum sir... Thumbs Up Bow down Thumbs Up

The SE & AB also have the mid-spec music system as standard whereas the Vogue has the base version.

That may or may not be important to you.

It's a shame they removed that from the SE spec. It used to be standard. It's a great feature. Kev

Mine has the massive system in and my wife’s the standard AB system and they are massively different. Twas another reason for me searching out my car…

Ok so I had a decent drive in the vogue earlier today. I can see why people like these. The comfort really is the major selling point and the inside felt really nice and airy and up a level from most other cars. Engine was nice and smooth , brakes felt good and it felt just right.
Doesn't have the dual view screen like I thought it had but the other spec was as listed in my first post.

Needs a service in a couple of months,
Parcel shelf was rattling like crazy throughout drive on any surface other than the smoothest tarmac.

What's it worth. ?
16 plate with 72k on the clock. Standard Vogue with the above spec if that makes a difference.
