Heated Steering wheel.

Chaps

Anyone know if its possible to replace my standard HSE steering wheel with a heated one. I know they are a direct swap but is it a big job to get the heating function working? On the HSE I have an air circulation button on the steering wheel and I was thinking I could maybe use this connection to power the heating function maybe.....

Thanks in advance

you will need to change your slip ring as this has the connection to carry the 12v for the heater, but you may have the right slip ring on there now..look at the connectors. you should have a 2 pin plug on the left of the slip ring...but for what is is worth i have only used my one 2 or 3 times in the year.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Cheers chaps main reason I asked is that I do want to change my steering wheel at some point to the newer soft grip wheel which I did on my Discovery 3 and it made a huge difference in terms of comfort. Looking at websites like Powerful UK most of the wheels they offer all appear to be heated and I thought if I bought one i might be able to get the heated steering wheel function working.
