Lights control module

Hi peeps!
My 02 4.4 v8 has developed the "lights don't go out" issue with the ignition off after not being run for a few months. Car is fine when first started but when left switched off the lights come on and stay on, so I have had to disconnect the battery. I have taken the LCM out of the drivers foot well to check for corrosion etc.. but that seems fine? I can only assume that the module has failed and fault code seems to back that up. My question is.... can you swap with BMW E53 module as there seem to be more available second hand? These units don't need any coding, plug and play? Any advice or someone with a spare module for sale or repair tips? Ta mucho! [/b]
