2010 Bumper

Guys,

Just a quick question, would a 2010 bumper fit a 2006 car? I've damaged mine, and see that I can get a 2010 bumper much cheaper than a 2006.

Any help identifying compatability and any differences would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

It will fit but you'll need to change the grille and headlamps. Then it'll look odd as the front will look new and the back will look pre-2010. Probably cheaper to buy the 2006 one Smile

Sorry should have been clearer, it's the rear bumper I'm talking about! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

Sorry!

I think they're pretty much the same bumper as the PDC sensors look the same on the rear as pre-2010. The front ones changed to the newer style.

Fantastic, so at £75, that should be a pretty good buy? It's an ebay seller who seems to have 10 plus, due to conversions, all removed from new cars.

All the wrong colour for my car, but I guess worth getting sprayed. I guess I should get white to spray grey? Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

He doesn't say what conversions, but looking at his other items for sale, almost certainly Overfinch! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

The park sensors changed from the older BMW design to the newer generic design for MY10 on the front only. The rear ones are in fact very outdated in terms of design as BMW have been installing the newer ones for a long time now. The front ones are no longer indented into the bumper and there is just a circle almost cut out around them. The rear ones still remain indented and are a different style. I therefore believe the bumper and whole rear layout is the same as in 2002.
