Hi all

I’m struggling to find Texamatic 7045E for my GM 5 speed auto box.

I have spoken with Opie Oils and they have suggested Fuchs Titan ATF 4000 Multifunctional High Performance Automatic Transmission Fluid.

I know that not too many on here still own an early L322 with the 5 speed box but has anyone used this gearbox oil?

ETL7045E is the standard for the 5 speed GM box and STC4862 is the part number, so any recognised brand meeting this specification is fine.

Genuine oil is available online for £13.50 per litre (I found on ebay from a parts company).

Febi Bilstein make a compatible oil also, 32600.

Mannol Dexron VI also lists meeting the standard. This is the only one on the list except the genuine one I found which specifically states it meets the ETL7045E standard. The others specifically say the Dexron standards.

Opie are also correct with the Fuchs recommendation, here's the specified oils from Fuchs for that gearbox, 4000 or 5500:



In terms of Fuchs as a brand, I use their high performance stuff in the 5.0L Jaguar with no issue. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I used the Vaico Dexron VI V60-0131 after a bit of research. I hope it's the right one and after 4000km everything seems fine. If I remember correctly I used around 6,5 liters but I spilled a bit too. The manual in the wiki is pretty good.
