Ticking noise from passenger side of the dashboard

As the title says, I am hearing a ticking noise from the dashboard. As far as I can ascertain it is high up and on the passenger side. I have checked for rattles etc, I have tried with air con on and off, infotainment on and off but the noise is still there. Sometimes. It starts immediately, other times I could be driving 30 minutes or more before it starts. It has no impact on how the car drives. The sound is best described as a ticking almost dripping sound (although no trace of water or wet carpet thankfully). The noise is regular and approximately once a second.

Any ideas on what to check would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Robert

Induction air flap motor. You need to replace it. It will getting worse very fast.
If you remove cabine filter housing under bonnet, turn ignition on you will see flaps are opening and closing - if passenger side flap will wobble and knock then it is it. You can gently press with finger to give a little more resistance. The noise if because plastic gerabox inside motor skips.
