No special tools required, but if you're unsure leave it to the experts as lives are at risk

It's a simple job requiring only a large screwdriver and a couple of spanners. Obviously you have to jack the vehicle and remove the roadwheels and I always use a decent axle stand to prop the car up whilst working on it.

If you're unsure then have someone who knows how to do it show you. Once you've done it once you will never let the dealers rob you again.

Just re-done the fronts on mine. Dealer supplied parts so genuine LR discs and pads. Quote for them to supply and fit was over £300. Parts supplied were £185. That Sir, is a stack load of beer vouchers which stayed safely in my pocket. Thumbs Up

I am guessing you have brembo brakes and they are, as it turns out, a doddle to change. Research a few youtube videos beforehand but basically, jack car up, perhaps turn wheels beforehand to have better access to caliper.
push out the two retaining pins that hold the pads in place, retaining spring will come free.
Old pads should slide out. devise a way of pushing pistons back into caliper (old pads can come in handy her to avoid damage to caliper and disc). Open brake fluid resevoir beforehand, wrap neck with a rag incase of overflow.
Once the pistons are back in, insert new pads -put plenty of anti-squeal compound/copper grease on the rears/sides(get genuine ones from Nick at Yeovil Landrover), insert a pin, apply spring, insert other pin, put car back together again and pump the pedal until slack is taken up.
Invariably some snag will crop up with home DIY but allow pleanty of time for what should be a 30 min job and off you go. After alot of Censored around I did my wifes car (TDV8 2007) with discs and pads - cost me £220 whereas that is a £500 job at a dealer.
Best of luck,
