My car has the Electronic locking diff fitted to the rear?

I thought cars fitted with the locking diff had a lock symbol on the 4x4 screen, that shows when its engaged. |

Yeah, I have the lock symbol but can't seem to get it to engage, always shows as being open. Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

I think it'll lock in any ratio, but you can't do it manually. If it looses traction then it should work it out for itself that it should engage the lock.........................but I could be wrong |

Is the lock symbol definately the rear diff though & not the centre one ? |

there is a lock symbol for both diffs

If its the same as a D4 then just as the symbol is there it doesn't mean it will lock...
