Genuine Land Rover Parts

I'll put this thread here as although it's maintenance issue I guess, it's not model specific.

My question is, is it possible to buy genuine Land Rover parts in this case pads and disks? I find plenty of 3rd party, Mintex, Brembo etc but none that are labelled genuine OEM.

Edit: I wrote this after too much time searching. Having written it I then found this for front brake pads:

Delphi £10.44
Ferodo £21.87
Brembo £47.08

Genuine Land Rover £330.32

WOW!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Yes if you use certain suppliers but you will also find that 'genuine' JLR parts are made by 3rd party manufacturers such as Brembo who also don't actually make them either and outsource them as well... 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Just go for ‘OEM’

It’s always nice to buy ‘Genuine Land Rover’, but as JayGee said, LR don’t make items like brake parts - so it’s kinda…pointless?

My personal rule is no ‘Aftermarket’ on our FF.

And, don’t be cheap…it’s a FF 😂 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster - Baltic Blue, Jet interior

'Genuine' JLR front pads are not Brembo even though the disks and calipers are. This is why they are £££££. AFAIK they are Jurid? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Genuine LR brakes are made by Jurid.

Brembo pads are not made by Brembo either. They’re made under licence by another company with Brembo’s name on the boxes. I’ve never tried them but I’ve read people on here think they’re utter crap.

I got Brembo discs from Autodoc and I opted for Ferodo pads as they are supposed to be less dusty.
If you install the Autodoc app and check the daily discount - it changes at 11pm each evening. It changes randomly and 41% is the highest I think.
I also bought the spring retainer and pins and bolt kit just to be sure.
£8.95 for delivery from Germany and it arrived in around 9 or 10 days.

Hi, I have been following the YouTuber who also writes on here Overlanding 4x4 L322

He had a brake problem when he used drilled and vented discs with non-OEM pads.
He did say it was probably caused by driving down a very steep hill descent, he has changed back to OEM. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

I changed out all my discs and pads for"Brembos", supplied by Advance Factors, several years ago. Have been all good. Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Sierra Estate 1993-1997
Uno Turbo 1987 -1993
Fiesta 1984 - 1987

That is not why they are expensive, they are expensive as they are one of the most commonly purchased parts with high margin. There is nothing special about the pads, they will however potentially be a higher quality than the off the shelf JURID IAM equivalents, probably the anti corrosion qualities and/or quality control - or not!

When I last looked Jurid pads were superior in terms of low dust. low noise and environmental aspects. I thought they were still overpriced so went with Delphi. They work well enough and the dust is mainly from the disks (i.e iron) so easy to clean off. All pads have to conform to the same friction coeficient standards so can't be more or less effective than OE so you pay the extra for the other qualities. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Absolutely, backing plate, corrosion inhibitor coating, dust/noise down to material make up.
