The Clarkson & Harry’s Garage effect.

After these now quite famous online films came out I thought they may have an effect on the prices of specific L322’s. Now I keep seeing ads that quote ‘as seen in…’ in L322 classifieds.

This person seems to think it’s an 8 to 10k bump in price…

Saying that it would probably take that sort of money for me to think about selling mine now but that’s more to do with me loving it than anything.

Question - do you think prices will rise for very well kept 07-09 cars in particular going forward? 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

I doubt many people will dream of owning that particular L322 at that price.
The dealer is clearly delusional given the age and mileage.

I guess that’s my point, the delusion comes from the notion in the vids that it’s not just the best Range Rover, but best car ever made.

And add the somewhat rare colour combo (I tried to find this when I was buying but ended up with a well looked after all black clear window car) and you have the justification of the crazy price.

It will sell, I agree for less than advertised but more than what they would have got before the films came out - that much I am pretty sure about. 2009 pre-facelift 3.6 TDV8.

Its amazing what a bit of celeberaty endorsment can do to the price of them!

I hunted for ages for a Galway Green, sand interior and no tints which I was lucky enough to find in the 4.4tdv8 varient, I wouldn't be parted from it now, by far and away the best allround vehicle I've owned was well worth the wait now 6 months in to ownership. Current

£15k for this 120k mile 4.4 (not too familiar with late L322 prices but guessing a slight mark up), they don’t bother going for the famous video angle, they instead opt for the royal family option in the description…

That's a fair price for 4.4 at a dealer for that condition and history. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Fair enough, looks like a decent example so will be a good buy for someone (the drivers seat needs a good clean mind!). I just prefer the exterior lights/grills and gauges on the 07-09 cars which is why it took me so long to find mine - I’m very picky!

This is a thread I started over a year ago when I joined the forum, I was on the look out for what is now described as the Harry & Clarkson spec funnily enough…

Ireland 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

Guys you should try buying one in Ireland! Most of you probably havent every seen our main car site, its called done deal. 2011 L322 is 20k, a 2013 L405 is 40K

I just bought my 2012 and got a good deal for being over here but it comes with Ts&Cs. To run an L322 family car here its approx €2400 in road tax, so when I here guys in the UK on youtube moan about £600 road tax Im like, you have it so good! So I run my L322 as a luxury van, 2 seater and converted for equipment and dogs.

If you want to make yourself feel better hop onto the site below, look up your spec car and then sit back and realise that your governments VRT is far far less than ours and that things arent so bad after all.

www.donedeal.ie

20k for a 200,000 mile L322

Just under 40k for a 2013
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/land...f/34358801

As a last note, the Old man farmer journalist car video did influence my purchase, everything except the part where they said dont by the newer shape L322. Im happy I found a 4.4TDV8 though as they are hard to get here.
