United Kingdom 2015 Range Rover Autobiography TDV6 Fuji White
Rear Diff Failure

Hi, my 405 TDV6 Hybrid is in for service with an Independant - I reported a whining noise thinking it was a wheel bearing but they’ve come back saying the rear diff bearing has failed. There’s no oil loss so looks like a manufacturing defect. Inde suggested there has been a recall on these but I’m struggling to find any evidence of that before a discussion with LR. Can anybody help please?

My Diff is being replaced as I write, it may not be the same as yours as its a AB which has the clutch pack inside, mine is under JLR warranty.
There is a known problem with my type, its been on back order since July. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Vogue TDV6 Santorini Black

The rear diff on my 2016 Vogue failed (noisy and leaking oil from the front pinion seal) earlier this year after only 41k miles. Replaced the whole unit under warranty. I think it is a relatively common issue.
