craig,

on the IIDTool q&a thread i submitted my nav version which seems is not compatible with that IIDTool function..for it to work i would have to flash my nav software to the correct version which isnt worth the hassle.

10th post down craig..http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic12418.html ... - .- -.

Daniel...the module i fitted was in my face lift 2005 FFRR and it worked a treat for the TV and TV only. there was no nav input on the move but the venture cam works at all speeds anyway!!!

i tried to fit a module in my 2007 TDV8 and it wouldn't work!! it also through up suspension faults on the the display, so i removed it.

i too am looking for a solution to the TV issue...(for my passengers of course!!) don't want another lecture like i got last time about safety... Sad Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Thanks Stu

I couldn't believe all that c....p that people bather to lecture with - are there really that many forum users that work at local Councils???? and don't they get enough ego boosts out of telling ratepayers and developers on how to live their lives without becoming little hitlers and lecturing others on the forum?

As re VC - i've only just got mine working - the previous owner never removed it from its glove box charging socket and the cells reversed polarity - dismantled it and now got it going. Other forum posts complain that it stops working at anything over 20 kph.

It would be nice to get both full SatNav, phone and TV functionality whilst on the move! May be someone will come up with a patch/fix/diagnostic programming function one day soon. 1989 RRC with GMC 6.5td

yes the SatNav may work but only in a quite limited manner. One cannot input any addresses or destinations - a lot of its functionality is disabled on the move (it is grey out and unavailable to use).

Similarly the hard docked phone has its SMS features disabled whilst on the move.

Makes a cheap Tom Tom Sat Nav that one can buy for $80 in the local supermarket more useful than the LR SatNav for which one has to pay $300 just for a map update DVD. 1989 RRC with GMC 6.5td

i have full functionality of the sat nav, always have, destinations. POI's etc all on the move. Didn't have it in my TD6, but all there now.

maps are easy to come by for not too much money if you know where to look, obviously that is europe, not sure about your part of the world, i will have a look though. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

goldsax, a 'tv-on-the-move' adapter will only give you that, it sometimes also shows 'p' or 'n' in your drive selection as its fooling the range into thinking its not moving..

nav-on-the-move can be activated by something like the GAP IIDTool .. ... - .- -.
