EGR

Had both my EGRs replaced this week and a new thermostat housing ( hairline crack in it), found where the cup of water Ive been putting in once a fortnight was going! Is it just me but the car seems to be a lot quicker?
Incidentally temp gauge not hitting the middle of the gauge now?? Any ideas??
Thanks

It's probably psychological - we all like to think expensive new parts should be better than what came off.

Unless your old EGRs were permanently stuck open / partially open, you shouldn't have been losing any performance before & therefore shouldn't be gaining any with new ones. Paul,

If the temperature gauge isn’t hitting the middle then it sounds like the new thermostat might be stuck open Sad 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather
