Clunking and Smoking

Hi folks, well this has got me slightly concerned. 2014 4.4 AB

I've got myself a clunck from underneath, nearside I think but it's not certain. I can't work out if its transmission or suspension though. I first noticed it joining a dual carriageway a couple of weeks ago, on and off the throttle a bit of a clunck and I'm sure I could feel something through the chassis, 200 miles later and I'd not noticed it again. Not used car much over chrismas and yesterday round town I could feel and hear it at lower town speeds, weidr think though it's not consistant to any gear or speed, think that's it;s suspension I've been over every manhole and road sinkage I can find it's not obvious, if at all. I spent a lot of money having the suspension parts replaced a couple of years ago to make sure all was in good health.

Now the other issue is it was smoking the other morning whilst idoling, grey smoke from underneath coming up through both rear wheel arches. It did this once a few weeks ago when the FBH was started up but since then the FBH has worked just fine, no smoke, no condensation, all good. This time though, no FBH, I'd simply started the car to move it off the drive for a minute, not liking to start and stop a cold engine I left it running, moved back onto drive and then noticed the smoke again, not thick smoke but very noticable, not too pungent either, can't trace the small to anything I've come accross before.

Can't imagine the two are connected but then you never know !

I had a similar intermittent clunk from the front nearside. it seemed that only myself could hear it, local garage didn't find anything.
Took it to a local RR specialist in Grantham who diagnosed worn anti roll bar bushes, had those replaced and no more clunk.

I did consider the bushes but then they were all changed a couple of years ago, less than 10k miles. They were JLR parts too.....but I'll defo have them checked, thanks for the suggestion :¬)
