I hope he is right about prices peaking but the proof will be in the pudding when we all get our renewals. As with most prices post pandemic / brexit I cant see the pricing ever going back to where we were a few years ago unfortunately. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

We'll see. Hopefully these new measure JLR are putting place are robust, it usually takes 6 months or so for theives to figure them out.

To my mind if the fix is to reprogramme the BMC to prevent it then it's not unreasonable that a hacker could reverse that without too much effort. Car mechanics although extremely talented are not known for their hacking prowess.

If they said they were replacing the BMC with new hardware thats hard coded then I'd be more confident.

I have a novel idea, perhaps get a small metal blade with indentations and corrogations set in a unique 3 dimentional pattern that requires the driver to enter that into a similarly unique coded receptical, To save space perhaps the blade could fold into the main body of the device.

We could call it something like a "key". Fuji White 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westmiinster

Old but relevant Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

They may well fix it, but the biggest growing risk seems to be thieves simply stealing the keys themselves. Either pick-pockets in crowded places or light fingers during soft house break-ins.

My gym has specifically said they're holding keys behind reception now on request if they know you, I'm stunned that I see many keys just laying around in the locker room, lockers not even locked because people don't want to pay the 20p to extract the key.

My keys are in an out of the way faraday key box at home for all the cars, but away from home in a faraday box I carry around. I can't stop it, but I can make it harder for them.
