How so? registered in may 2005 so built before then. I thought the 06MY would have only been orderable from Sept 06, no ?? Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

It is rather confusing! My 56 plate car registered on December 2006 is an MY2007.

My car was also registered in december 2006, but it's a 2007MY facelift.

While we are on the subject, I assume my 56 plate 3.6 has a rear locking diff? It hasn't got adaptive lights tho - can I retrofit?

Thrasher, I think locking rear diff was only standard on the SC models, its an option on all other models. Never understood why... |

My 2006 SC did not have a rear locking diff. My 2010 did.

My old RRS and my current MY08 TDV8 both showed an unlocked icon on the rear diff, but I never managed to get them to show locked. I think the software used will always show the rear as unlocked unless there is an e-diff in place in which case it will show as locked when the car thinks it needs to be engaged. Certainly this is how the system worked on the LR experience vehicle I used.
