Removing scrivets from the A-pillar (both sides)

Hi all

this might be a dumb question, but here we go...

How do you remove the scrivets from the A pillar? (there are 4 of them holding the external sill cover on).
They do not have a philips or flat head on them...

Is there a trick?

I am replacing both front sill covers due to the left one being loose.

Any help/thoughts always appreciated.

Cheers
pdt

You have to drill them out and buy new ones. This is the case when your windscreen is replaced. Ring the part department and ask for an a pillar cover fixing kit. You should get replacement plastic rivets and the plastic inserts for the holes in the body shell.

You can drill them out, you can drill a pilot hole and thread a fine screw and pull them out or ... as I do, with a punch, just knock the centre through (the centre just falls to the bottom of the A-Pillar) and they then just pull off!

Ahhh, a quality stickler. I know how that is. Razz Nearly everyone else I've ever dealt with just punches them through.
